Spring Cleaning For House Plants
/House plants are increasingly popular in homes today. And we love it! But did you know that in addition to the love and nurturing they naturally need to live, plants also need to be cleaned? We know what you’re thinking… another thing to clean… Houseplants not only accumulate dust like any other household item, but they can collect bugs, their nests and other uninvited house guests and materials. Not only that but since plants photosynthesize through their leaves, cleaning them helps them grow.
3 Steps to Cleaning Your House Plants:
Fill a spray bottle with a very mild solution of soap and water. We prefer unscented natural castile soap, but any plain dishsoap will do.
Place all of your plants outside (or if weather doesn’t permit you can perform this task in your bath or shower)
Spray the leaves until the water is dripping from them and wipe them gently with a rag.
