How To Remove Red Wine Stains From Your Carpet
So. You had a party to celebrate that big promotion or to break your new house. All the guests have gone… except that crazy big red wine stain in the middle of your gorgeous cream carpet. You can’t cover with a couch and you’re not really into rugs. And you won’t be able to get it out - will you?
That answer to that question isn’t a hard no. Actually, usually you CAN get red wine stains out of carpet with a little patience and some good old white vinegar. I mean, we could use the tried and true club soda, but who even has that on hand anymore?
What you need:
Dish soap
White vinegar
A white cloth (so the pigment doesn’t bleed)
A towel or paper towels
Steps:
Take your towel(s) and blot the stain.
Get two cups of warm water and mix in a tablespoon of dishwashing soap and a tablespoon of white vinegar.
Pour a small amount of your cleaning solution onto the stain
Using your white cloth, blot until the stain disappears, pouring more cleaning solution as needed.
